NS BIKES UR TEAM | Episode 3
The early season vibes are strong as we get closer to the NS Bikes UR team. These talented athletes have worked all year to have a chance to compete with the best in the world. Over the winter, the UR team spent all of their time training, mentally and physically preparing, and tons of practice time. This spring and summer they will travel the world racing in new countries week after week to experience a wide range of trails, sights and cultures along the way. The schedule can be grueling, but their passion for competition and speed combined with their championship dreams will keep them motivated and pushing their limits.

Feeling in tune with their bikes and getting setups dialed in for the different types of trails so they’re ready to perform to their maximum potential is one of the main goals of a mountain bike team‘s pre-season.

Inside the Line – Episode 3, WC racer and team owner Fabien Cousiné gives us a look at the line-up of the team and behind-the-scenes access to their first product testing session on challenging terrain. Fab shows how he works with manufacturers to test current and future products to find that golden combination that helps them hit the catwalks.

Vanesa Petrovska is the youngest member of the squad and is chasing her World Cup dream, with this year being her first year in the World Cup. She’s fast, sleek and a super talented 1st year junior who adapted to the schedule, training and cycling so quickly. We are delighted to see her improving throughout the season.

The life of a pro team is really exciting with the travel, pressure, crowds and adrenaline of race day, but the reality is that preparing for a pro team is quite different. This mainly happens in a parking lot, at the foot of a chairlift or on the side of a road. This is where most riders spend their time talking with their mechanic, as the descent is always changing. There is always something to try. The most obvious are the suspension and the tires, but everything is to be tested and entered into the smallest details such as: the tension of the spokes, the length of the crank, the type of brake pads, the diameter of the rotor, the length rod, etc. I think one of the keys to success is to have fun and enjoy the whole process.Fabien Cousinerie, team owner
