A lot has happened in the West End of Marquette County and the GINCC is resuming normal operations, once again, after another wave of the pandemic.

On Wednesday March 23, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., our first Business After Hours of 2022 will take place.

Dan Perkins Construction will host the event to celebrate its 25th anniversary in business. It will be held at their main office and boutique at 200 Washington St, Ishpeming at the corner of Co. Rd 581 across from the Marquette County Medical Care Facility.

Business After Hours is a community networking event for businesses, organizations and the general public. Free, BAHs offer face-to-face conversations ranging from the occasional business chat to reconnecting with people you may not have seen in a while.

If you can’t remember how they play out, here’s a quick rundown. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. with a registration table to check in for name badges and door prize slips, business cards are encouraged for both the door prize draw and to be presented to new knowledge.

The first hour is for general socializing with appetizers and drinks. Around 6 p.m., reception of the GINCC with presentation of the host. Dan Perkins will have a few announcements to share regarding an opportunity to give back to the community and an update on Partridge Creek Farm, a project he has been involved with since its inception.

After the welcome, door prizes will be drawn for the lucky winners. You must be present to win a prize.

Closing with a thank you to participants and an announcement of future events, the remaining time is taken up with final discussions and goodbye until next time.

BAHs are a key activity for the GINCC. We are really looking forward to reuniting with our members and our community. Again, these events are free and open to the public. Even if you’re not a current business owner or member, they’re a great opportunity to learn more about our community and the people here.
