Australia’s biggest production car endurance race has opened up a limited number of spaces in the support class for next year’s 6-hour Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst event.
The 2023 installment will take place over the Easter long weekend (April 7-9).
Demand for positions is expected to be high, as the event provides the opportunity for categories that would otherwise not have the opportunity to compete at Mount Panorama.
“We are always looking for categories that might want to take the opportunity to race at Mount Panorama and be part of the 6 Hours of Bathurst week,” said Ken Collier, Event Director.
“This year our support program has provided great grounds and lots of great racing which is great for the competitors and great for the spectators who come to the circuit and watch the TV,” Collier said of this. year B6HR, with a program that included:
Supercheap Auto TCR Australia, Turtle Wax Trans Am, MRF Tires Nissan Pulsar Series, NSW Historic Touring Cars and HQ Holdens are all taking part in the preparation.
Last April’s B6HR main event offered a thrilling ride, when duo Cam Hill and Thomas Sergeant somehow came from 63rd on the grid to claim victory in what some have called “Bathurst Miracle”.
The chance to be on the Drawcard for 2023 is a welcome chance for the smaller grassroots categories to be part of such historic occasions in Australian motorsport; as this consecutive year turned out to be.
Interested categories are encouraged to apply early and should contact the event team through their website. www.bathurst6hour.com.au
